Oh How They Have Grown!!

Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago with Matt and Henry; Luka and Austin's cousins that live nearby in Lake Forest. Can you believe they are now 9 and 10? I remember when Matt was crawling around like it was only yesterday!

Libertyville Days Parade

This past weekend was Libertyville Days - complete with activities, rides, food and of course a parade on Saturday morning. Since Chuck was already in Fox Lake taking care of a few things, I took the boys to go see...

First came the firetrucks - Luka was sooooo excited!! Austin seemed to enjoy them until it blarred right by us and scared him!


Mr Social - Luka made friends quickly - just plops down with these girls nearby....


And subsequently with these somewhat older ladies - pushes them apart and sits right between!!

Our future politician not only gets in good with the ladies... but shakes Dan Seal's hand (democrat running against Kirk next election)


Then came the balloons - let me tell you this was so funny. Austin loved them and Luka was scared!! First Uncle Sam....


Then a puppy - which they spun around by us - Luka really freaked out then!


And finally... the eagle

That's it sorry to say. Luka started running off so we left to return home to the naughty spot!! Fun was had however!

Time for a Post

I know I am overdue for a post and I do plan to post some pictures. Austin and I went to Texas for a week to see my sister's family. We had a blast! It was hot but bearable with the nice constant breezes.

Austin is still not walking but he is starting his own unique crawl - which is sometimes backwards! We are all trying to get over colds this week and Chuck's Dad and stepmom are in town for a couple weeks. They arrived Monday but since we are sick they are staying at a hotel and we haven't seen them yet. They leave for Croatia around the 15th. Oh! and we are going to Croatia mid-July. Can't wait to get Austin's passport back. It's so cute to have a baby on a passport! And, as you know this will be Luka's 2nd trip there!!
